Daan, which study are you following?

I am studying 'Entrepreneurship and Retail Management' at Avans Hogeschool in Breda. I am currently in the 4th and final year of this study. Due to corona, I have hardly been at school for the past 1.5 years, so it is very nice to be able to work at the office again with a nice team.

What is your favourite football club and why?

My favorite football club is of course PSV, why? Because PSV is the most beautiful club in the Netherlands. Since I was young, my father used to take me to matches in Eindhoven. It gave me a special feeling back then and this feeling has never gone away. At the moment I am a season ticket holder and I still go to every home game with my father. The atmosphere in the Philips Stadium is unequalled, cheering together at every goal, every success, every championship... that feeling is addictive.

What do you like to do outside office hours?

Outside office hours I can usually be found in the gym or on the football pitch. I currently play football at Gloria-UC, the local football club of my village. Apart from sport related hobbies, I am also a big fan of Poker. With friends in real life or online, I never turn down a game of Poker.

Why did you decide to do an internship at Selectline?

When I was looking for an internship, I knew one thing for sure, I wanted an internship in the sports industry and preferably football related. Selectline is a company that is active in the field of sports field marking and the focus is mainly on football. Selectline therefore exactly matched the interests that I had.

I believe that a first impression is very important. After the first meeting, I immediately had a good feeling about the company. At the moment, I have been working at Selectline for 6 weeks and I can only say that I made the right choice.
